Tokyo Disney Sea Opened a Garden in 2001

Tokyo Disney Sea opened a garden on September 4th, 2001 next to the Disney Land in Maihama, Chiba prefecture. In addition, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Mira Costa opened on same day inside Disney Sea.

Disney Sea started to construct on October 22nd, 1998. The estimate business expenses is 338 billion yen.

At first, Disney Sea will plan to build as Movie Studio falities. However, as a result of marketing, movie curuture can not become familiar with Janaese. Therefore, Disney Sea changed the Movie Studio theme into Sea theme.

Disney Sea is divided into seven areas and there are many attractions, restaurants, and gift shops. Disney Sea is different from Disney Land because we can drink beer, wine, and other alcoholic drink. A class of visiters is adults.

There are many characters such as Little Mermaid, Mickey Mouse, Marie, Minnie Mouse, Aladdin and so on... in Disney Sea, but Disney Sea is little probability of meeting characters than Disney Land.


On December 1st, 2004, Disney Bear doll that everyone call "Duffy " was on sale. This bear doll sell only inside Tokyo Disney Sea. Today, everyone knows Duffy. Duffy is popular amang children and women.
